Cornholme’s Old Library is a lively community space hosting a cafe, events, classes and activities for everyone who lives locally.

Cafe - Tasty, healthy food that’s also good value. Come use our computers with Internet access, have a tea or coffee, have a chat – enjoy some of the best meals in the valley!

Regular Activities - Our building hosts a range of groups and classes targeted at young and old. Yoga, fitness classes, Job Club, Parents & Toddler and more

Last CAB session for the summer

The last advice session from Citizens Advice Bureau before the summer holidays, is on tomorrow. If you want information or advice about Universal Credit, changing energy suppliers, dealing with bailiffs or anything else, pop along tomorrow and talk to Sheila after 10am and before 3pm. No appointment necessary.

Minichef Junior Cooking course starts Mondays from Today – 17th August - Learn to make your own veg pizzas, fruit kebabs, bread etc. Under 5’s on 6th and 13th July, 9-11.30 a.m. Over 5’s on 20/27th July and 10/17th August, 11.30-1.30 p.m. £2 per child All children must be accompanied by an adult Call 01706 813222/07984512762 to book if you can.

Help with CVs and Covering letters

On Thursday, we have our usual open session for people who want to learn how to use computers, search for jobs or anything else! We also have someone who can help you develop a CV or a covering letter or give advise about getting jobs. Call in anytime between 12 and 3pm.

Support the Old Library - We need your help to keep running our activities and to be able to keep improving. We need to make the building more comfortable especially through the winter.

If you or someone you know is unable to come but would really benefit from some extra food, please let us know. Volunteers and donations always welcome!
